Project summary:

In the picturesque Renaissance town of Tryavna, situated in central Bulgaria, 40 young people from 8 different organizations and countries will join together for a common cause – the fight against one of the most recent and painful problems in Europe in recent years – youth unemployment.
The main objective of the project is to equip young people with new knowledge and skills, in order to improve their chances of finding a job or creating one themselves, knowing how to properly advertise and present it.

The goals and problems we are addressing are not only contrary to the objectives of the Erasmus + program, but also one of the main problems that the EU is working on. Using many different informal methods, mainly through learning by doing, we will impart practical knowledge and skills to young people who can easily be imparted and thanks to which everyone who uses the lessons learned from the project can find a good job and / or have a foundation, on which he can build and develop his entrepreneurial idea.

The goals of the project are:
– Raising their knowledge in the field of youth unemployment;
– Enhancing the range of tools, they can use to find solutions to problems;
– Raising their CV writing and cover letter skills;
– Improving their presentation during job interviews;
– Learning how to use properly the Elevator Pitch;
– Improving their presentation skills in front of a public;
– Improving their oratorical and negotiation skills and defending their position;
– Improving their knowledge of the Erasmus + program and how they can benefit from it in their future personal and professional development;
– Increasing their knowledge in the field of business idea development (market research, preparation of business plan, preparation of marketing strategy, etc.)
– Promoting their active citizenship;

During the working days of the project, the participants, besides being able to lead different sessions each day and organize the work process, will engage in activities organized by professionals in the field (business owners, entrepreneurs, HRs, head-hunters, etc.). The main elements that will be given special attention will be:
• How to write a good personal Europass CV.
• The motivating elements in our cover letter.
• Clothes and behavior during the interview.
• Secrets of verbal and non-verbal communication.
• Youthpass.
• The opportunities offered by the Erasmus + program.
• Canvas business model and SWOT analysis.
• How to perform in 30 sec. (Elevator Pitch).
• How to grow your business idea from A to Z

The following activities / sessions will be organized according to the methods used for them:
1. Energizers and icebreaking games. Each day, for 10-15 minutes before each session, participants will optionally present a game. Their aim is to raise the spirit and energy level of the participants, to awaken and encourage them.
2. Team Building games (including logical games and decision-making games). The purpose of these games is to provoke the teamwork of the participants and thus to transform the 40 young people from “strangers to one another” into teammates to support and help each other. Logical games are intended to provoke them to think critically and to find a solution to a problem, through discussions and compromises.
3. Presentations. They will be implemented in a formal and informal form. Formal will be the official presentation of statistics, information on a given issue, etc. These will be used during the sessions: Introduction, YouthPass Presentation and the 8 Key Skills, Erasmus + Questions and Answers, Youth Unemployment in Our Countries, SWOT Analysis, Canvas Business Model and more. And the informal ones, through theater, drama, music, etc. These are included in the sessions: Intercultural Evening, Presentation of Business Ideas, Advertising Campaigns, etc.
4. Discussions. Their purpose is to encourage young people to express their opinions and to uphold them. Also encourage them to think critically and ask questions in front of many people when something is not clear to them. But the most important aspect is speaking to the public because many people are worried about it and don’t ask questions and present and defend their own opinions.
5. Role-playing games (simulations). Their goal is to get young people to put themselves in different situations and characters to try to look at the world through other people’s eyes, but also to be able to show what they can, in an environment where every mistake is fixable and second chance will always be given.
