Una delle più grandi cose che ereditiamo dalle generazioni precedenti è la terra, la natura, l’ambiente da cui si nasce, si vive e prospera. È, quindi, evidente che dobbiamo trattarla con maggior cura e rispetto, più di quanto facciamo al giorno d’oggi. L’ambiente è quello che lasceremo alle generazioni future. Se è sano, saranno sani e viceversa.

Un sacco di persone hanno iniziato a prendere la conservazione della natura più seriamente rispetto a diversi anni fa, essi cercano di proteggere l’aria, l’acqua, le foreste, ma ci si dimentica che proteggere il cielo e ilbuio durante la notte è anche di grande importanza. Il cielo scuro rappresenta la notte, il periodo della giornata in cui le persone rigenerano la loro energia. Se non fosse buio, la maggior parte delle creature sul pianeta non sarebbero in grado di “ricaricare le batterie”. Un cielo scuro è altrettanto importante come l’acqua pulita, l’aria fresca, e l’ambiente pulito, allora perché spesso ci dimentichiamo di preservarlo?
Spetta alle generazioni più giovani assumersi la responsabilità per il loro ambiente come simbolo di un futuro sano per loro e per i loro discendenti. Tuttavia, la loro ignoranza e l’inattività deve essere cambiato prima prima di mettersi in azione. E’ inevitabile che sappiano che il futuro della Terra è nelle loro mani e quali misure adottare per conservare la natura.

Il progetto “You can see great nature under the dark sky” si svolge a maggio 27-05 Giugno nella zona di Snina,
Slovacchia e mostrerà ai partecipanti i risultati dell’inquinamento luminoso, fornirà loro una conoscenza più approfondita circa l’inquinamento luminoso e dell’acqua e la loro prevenzione, farà nascere l’entusiasmo per la protezione dell’ambiente e li responsabilizzerà per le loro azioni future nei confronti del loro ambiente, fornirà uno spazio per lo scambio di buone pratiche tra i paesi partecipanti in materia di acqua e di inquinamento luminoso e li renderà futuri divulgatori di un approccio rispettabile verso l’ambiente circostante.

 

SCOPO DEL PROGETTO:

  • Aumentare l’interesse e la volontà di partecipare alla conservazione dell’ambiente tra i giovani
  • Promuovere la partecipazione attiva inmmerito a questioni ambientali, in modo da migliorare l’ambiente trascurato e mantenere un contesto ben conservato. 
  • Rendere NP of Dark sky Poloniny e la diga Starina maggiormente visibili e promuoverli come esempi pisitivi di un basso livello d’acqua e inquinamento luminoso.
  • Scambio sicuro di buone pratiche tra le organizzazioni partecipanti e raggiungimento di soluzioni del continuo stato di deterioramento della fauna selvatica.
  • Mostrare ai giovani un possibile impatto futuro della loro ignoranza nei confronti della natura. .
  • Rendere i giovani più aperti verso diverse culture, e promuovere il multiculturalismo.
  • Far conoscere ai partecipanti le possibilità del programma ERASMUS+ e approfondire il ruolo dell’educazione non formale in campo giovanile.
  • Informare i giovani sulle questioni legate all’inquinamento luminoso ed acquatico.
  • Sensibilizzare riguardo la NP Poloniny ed evidenziare le cattive pratiche nel mantenimento dell’ambiente.

RIGUARDO STEP:

L’organizzazione STEP – Society for territorial progress nasce nel 2010 con lo scopo di supportare la regione di Upper Zemplín, attraverso lo sviluppo dei giovani che vivono in questa. Siamo attivi nella parte più orientale della Slovacchia, che è purtroppo nota per l’alto tasso di disoccupazione e il deflusso di giovani, cosa che provoca un rapido invecchiamento della società. Si tratta di una regione povera, dove i giovani non riescono a trovare molte opportunità per il loro sviluppo – e questo è esattamente il nucleo delle nostre attività come organizzazione.

Noi siamo volontari appassionati di età tra 18 e i 29 anni e abbiamo veramente a cuore la nostra comunità. Come studenti, laureati o persone impiegate torniamo a casa regolarmente e organizzano attività con le quali vogliamo permettere ai giovani di avere la vita più attiva, per la cura (non solo)del loro ambiente sociale e vita, ma anche su argomenti internazionali e così li aiutano a crescere sia personalmente che professionalmente.

I nostri principali temi di lavoro sono i giovani (dis) occupazione, responsabilizzazione, Imprenditoria Sociale, l’inclusione sociale e l’apprendimento interculturale. Noi usiamo metodi soprattutto non formali, combinati con le caratteristiche dell’educazione formale ed educazione all’aperto – di apprendimento dall’esperienza.

METHODOLOGY:
Methodology used in the project was designed in a way that would cater for all the learning needs of the participating individuals as for their learning styles and preferences. Moreover, It will secure a smooth, purposeful and logical structure of the realization of the exchange leading to desired outputs and outcomes. The methods to be used will secure transition of theoretical knowledge obtained by presentations and observations into practice by means of experiential learning and hands-on activities. At the early stages of the project, ice breakers, name and orientation games will be used in order for the participants to break the ice, familiarize themselves with the venue and one another.

Secondly, team-building and group dynamics activities will serve as means of creating a strong, motivated,
functional international team able to deliver roles within itself, co-operate and solve the tasks at hand. As a main
sorce of information will serve workshops, where participants will acquire new skills and knowledge by learn-by-doing tasks, field visits and presentations carried out by the organizing team and professionals. These activities include a short photography course, presentation of Erasmus+ and youthpass, visit and presentation of the workings of a water treatment plant, water dam and a bio self-cleaning swimming pools etc. In addition to this, energizers will be used to replenish the energy and maintain high attention levels between the sessions.

The imagination and creativity of learners, as well as their practical abilities will be tested during the activities as
flash-mob choreography and bicycle model building. Outdoor activities such as hiking, geocashing associated with nature conservation, and observation of dark sky will bring about a healthy element of physical activity.

Last but not least, intercultural evenings and free time will complete the schedule of the exchange, they will promote multicultural learning, provide time to make friendships and possible future cooperation on projects or activities of any kind.

Arrival: 27th of May
Activities start: 28th of May (morning)
Activities end: 4th of June (evening)

ACCOMODATION:
Project will be realized in a green recreational area of Sninské Rybníky (Snina pounds) in the outskirts of Snina. We will be accommodated and most of the activities will be carried out in hotel Vihorlat resort.
The hotel offers a nice, green, natural scenery, a small playground, and is situated next to a bio-swimming pool and
two ponds. We will be staying in two / three-bed rooms, showers and toilets included in every room.
Moreover, the stuff of the hotel is most helpful and can accommodate all our needs regarding food, accommodations, and electric equipment.

TRAVEL COSTS REIMBURSEMENT:
100% of the participants‘ travel costs will be reimbursed within the valid budget sums calculated according to the official rules of Erasmus+ programme. If a sum exceeds the limit, the excess will be paid by the participants themselves. The reimbursement limits are as follows:
– 170€ per participant from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Lithuania, Italy.
– 80€ per participant from Hungary.
Important: In order to obtain reimbursment for the tickets, you need to obey the following rules:
1) You need to present ALL THE TICKETS, including RETURN TICKETS, which you will send after realisation of the project, otherwise YOU WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED (DO NOT FORGET TO KEEP YOUR BOARDING PASSES FROM AIRPORT CHECK-IN)
2) You need to use PUBLIC TRANSPORT e.g. planes, trains, buses, trams or underground. TAXI will not be reimbursed.
3) You need to depart from the country, WHERE YOUR SENDING ORGANISATION IS FROM.
4) It is recommended to make scans of tickets before your arrival in case you lose them. The reimbursement will be done only in euros.
All participants are strongly advised to purchase commercial travel insurance and health insurance, which WILL NOT be reimbursed by the organizers, though.

PREPARATIONS:
As for the preparation, the Advanced Planned Visit (APV) will take place during 6nd-8th. of May 2016. Each organisation is supposed to send a member or the future project group leader, if possible, for this event . Detailed information and requirements for this event may be found in the separate APV infopack.
The following points of preparation are related to the project itself (not APV!):
1) Camera: Make sure that at least 1 participant per group has a camera, since there will be a short photography course followed by taking pictures of dark sky, which will be part of the final exhibition.
2) Each organisation is expected to make a short video interview with at least 3 youngsters aged 15-30 years old from
their community (preferably the youngsetrs who you work with) answering the following questions:
– What do you see as a main environmental problem in your country / community?
– As now it’s the right time for acting towards a better state of the environment, what are your suggestions for improving it locally and worldwide?
– what is the role of youth in acting towards a better state of environment
– Give some suggestions of how educate and motivate the youth in the area of environment conservatin.
– Give some examples of how you help to sustain a healthy environment.
– To what extent, do you think, is the youth acquitanted with the concept of light pollution?
– Do you perceive light pollution as an issue in your community / country?
Please make sure that you do not forget to shoot the videos, as they will play a main role in an all-day activity aimed at comparisons and best practice sharing, and will serve as one of the outputs of the project.
3) Intercultural nights: each country will present its culture. Bring some traditional foods, drinks, souvenirs. Make a
presentation by means of ppt, dance, quiz etc. The best presentation will be awarded; therefore, be creative!
4) Proper clothing: do not forget to take a pair of outdoor shoes and maybe a raincoat as the activities include hiking.

Participants are expected to be:
– between the age of 18-30 (leaders can be even 30+)
– motivated in the topic of the project and willing to take active participation in it
– able to express themselves in English
– able to attend the full duration of the exchange

YOUTHPASS:
Every participant is individually entitled to receive a Youthpass Certificate, which confirms participation and
validates the non-formal learning (NFL) experience of Training course project. Validating the learning experiences of participants is important in itself and the document can be of benefit in terms of the educational or employment future of the participant. Through Youthpass the European Commission ensures the Training course activity is recognized as a non-formal learning experience.
