Racism is an ideology that starts from the postulate of the existence of human races and considers that certain races are intrinsically superior to others. This ideology can lead to an attitude of hostility or systematic\u00a0sympathy towards a particular category of people. It concerns behaviors, difficulties that blindness, insanity and stupidity take precedence over the common sense of the human being.
\nRacism is no longer a question of race superiority, but the anxiety one feels in the face of another which is different from oneself and which one can not understand. Contempt and exclusion are the result of this anguish, which is transformed into pure rejection. In all states, all origins, beliefs and cultures are affected. Each of us is an actor and victim of racism, consciously or not.
\nThis project is designed to sensitize youth on a sensitive and sensitive issue. The response to racism can be achieved through a variety of means, including understanding racism, discrimination, and changing from prejudice to discrimination. Understand that racism is a crime severely punished by the law as well as discrimination. Understand how to act when witnessing or suffering racist or discriminatory acts. It will also enable us to inform and encourage the organization of working groups and to support the actors in setting up practical, feasible and efficient mechanisms.
\nWe want to give young people tools so that they can give answers to acts of racism in their immediate environment. Situations, concrete case studies, simulations and testimonials will be on the menu during this meeting of young people for an exchange of good practices.
\nDuring this project, AFRO’EVENTS and the other partners set themselves the following objectives:
\n– Raise interest in human rights and racism issues.
\n– Develop skills for democratic participation, communication and cooperation.
\n– Empowering youth in the fight against racism
\n– Promoting responsibility, justice and solidarity.
\n– Development of a policy for the management of racist incidents at school (or in a club or organization).
\n– Set up a social network to enable the various actors involved in these activities to be able to act and implement mechanisms to prevent or correct the effects that threaten social cohesion and thus contribute to the preservation Of a civic space without racism.
\nThe ultimate objective is to create a shared strategy to prevent and combat the expression of racism in order to facilitate access to victims’ rights and to reduce racist expression and make it intolerable in society.
\nThe project will be realized in TOULOUSE from 17 to 26 July 2017 with the participation of 42 young people coming from 06 partner organizations.

\nRacism is a timeless and universal scourge. It is a parasite that proliferates and feeds during times of crisis, which engenders violence, massacres.<\/p>\n
