After much talk of Bulgarian cuisine, we finally learned to cook a few dishes. As you might have understood our favorite is “Banitsa”!!! Here long as it does today we decided to show you step by step how to prepare!
- 5 eggs
- phyllo dough
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 450 gr di yogurt
- Sirené (typical Bulgarian cheese, similar to Feta), qb
- a teaspoon of oil
- salt qb
Break and mix the eggs in a ball, with a teaspoon of oil and salt.
Add the baking soda to the yogurt and let it ferment for few seconds.
Mix yogurt and eggs together.
Grease a baking pan, preferably round.
Lay the phyllo dough and sprinkle three tablespoons of the egg and yogurt mixture over the pasta. After that chop the cheese on the pasta. Roll the paste by taking two sheets at a time, so as to form a cylinder.
Put the cylinder into the pan and continue until you have filled all.
Pour the remaining mixture into the pan and bake for 40 ‘to 180 °
Here it is ready an excellent banitsa in full Bulgarian style!! (If desired, you can also stuff it with mushrooms, spinach or other vegetables !!!)
